@EJFisch Ugh, that kind of anxiety is miserable by itself, never mind the pain the anxiety is about. I'm way too familiar with that dance. Better to pursue an answer and see what it is so you can do something about it, as hard as that is.
@MacKenzieOfLlyr I'm about 2/3 of the way through the introduction of Property, and I think I can guess why the founding fathers were like, "Hey, what if we did 'pursuit of happiness' instead?"
