These aren’t rubber hoses as per usual practice, these are Aeroquip.
Hideously expensive, state of the art, basically aeroplane standard hoses. As opposed to rubber hoses and jubilie clips.
I have been asked multiple times if I would sell this little piece of history.
This little classic Redex test tank might now be retro enough that it is worth a fair bit to collectors, but will never sell it because it is just too cool. Plus it’s still used and practical!
All steel twincam engine l built for a customer.
It had already been run in and set up on a superflow engine dyno, but changes to the throttle linkage meant I needed to run it up again.
Still on 40mm carbs it gave 154bhp 134lbft and a very flat torque curve from 3000 to 7200rpm
Lucky escape for our customer! Got car MOTd rather than take advantage of the #MOT extension that was in place.
See the joint with the brown rust. The steering track rod end has had severe wear and should not have anywhere near that amount of give.
