@jeditalis you do seem to be arguing in good faith though at least, so props to that. I think you just overestimate the number of others who do the same, the "homophobic women who hijack the conversation" are a sizeable chunk if not the majority, most of the bios I've checked were terfs
@jeditalis kind of a motte-and-bailey here too btw, saying "why is it so outlandish to say gay men can be misogynistic" is not the same as saying "gay men can be misogynistic"
@jeditalis The framing of "gay men are men SO they can be misogynistic" is also pretty bad, gay men are PEOPLE so they can be misogynistic. Straight women on avg are more likely to support misogynistic policies than gay men, so clearly manhood and misogyny aren't a 1:1 correlation.
@jeditalis here are some of the most liked replies/qrts of the tweet that caused this current iteration of the discourse. I've only seen "gay men can be misogynistic" used as a motte-and-bailey, pretending that's all they said when they also said other, untrue things.
@mexican_sunbro I don't think most raiders care about relics being bis? I certainly don't, they only become bis at the very end of the expansion, at that point it doesnt matter much
@yuyuy193@Supatease it is 1 simple wood and 1 lesser magic essence, former is a few copper from vendor, latter you disenchant some brown robes for (or bs weapons if you want to be even faster), its very easy to self craft without having to go very far out of your way
@MokTJJJ@sibaburck I personally do feel empathy towards animals so it would hold up for me, but even for a person who does not, I don't think it would be moral for them to kill animals, so I don't think empathy is good as a sole basis of moral consideration.
@MokTJJJ@sibaburck I mean thats exactly my point, empathy is an emotion you feel towards something, so if people arbitrarily feel it towards humans and not non-humans, then basing their morality solely on said emotion will lead to animals not being considered.
@nekob0icarti but you are using it as a slur. reclaiming is when you use it in a non-malicious way, black people don't say "you're an n word" to people as an insult either
