On behalf of the Ministry of Health, I convey deep sorrow following the passing of Dr. Job Obwaka at the age of 83, a veteran obstetrician and former Director at the Nairobi Hospital.
Dr. Obwaka devoted his life to advancing medical practice in Kenya, leaving an invaluable contribution to the medical fraternity through his clinical excellence, leadership and mentorship of generations of practitioners.
His work significantly strengthened standards of care and improved outcomes in maternal and reproductive health services across the country.
We honour his distinguished service and commitment to humanity and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues and the wider medical community during this difficult time.
Dr. Job Obwaka’s health deteriorated after he collapsed at Milimani Law Courts, where he had been arraigned on allegations of falsifying documents, according to KTN News.
He was rushed to ICU and never fully recovered.
An 83-year-old man with known health risks was held in police cells for three nights before his arraignment in court.
A man is dead after contact with the justice system under conditions that were known to be risky.
Who made the call that detention was appropriate in these circumstances?
Who decided that this man could withstand confinement in a cell?
Go well, Daktari.
The Treasury is hiding KSh 150.7 BILLION in a secret "Sovereign Bond Proceeds Account", OUTSIDE the Consolidated Fund.
This is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
No parliamentary oversight. No Auditor General. No Controller of Budget.
We demand: Name the bank. Open the books. Freeze the account.
What you say in public, the words you use and the tone, matters a lot, because it never gets old; it can be brought back as a reminder even after 10 years...
Audit reveals Kenya’s Treasury has no system to track billions in climate financing, including Sh208 billion from IMF and Green Climate Fund, raising questions on accountability.

Hon @HonAdenDuale as the senior most politician from the North states it clearly: Hon Rigathi Gachagua isn't the right person to tell us but our leaders from NFD steal and loot from their people and "go to UMMRA in Mecca"
What a shame. I personally don't agree with H.E GACHAGUA @rigathi on many things. I even believe he is tribal bigot. But in the last three weeks Gachagua brought to the fore a very important national question...corruption/theft by the political elites in NFD and low quality leadership saddled with the people. The media cannot boycott him because they disagree with him. The media expresses an opinion only when rendering an editorial. This was a mere interview...a question and answer session. They should have interviewed him and asked him all the hard and difficult questions they had in mind. Boycotting Hon Gachagua by NFD media is STUPID act of journalistic cowardice.
I say NO to odious debt payments. We have suffered enough paying back loans that never changed our lives, no development, no roads, no schools, no real education. No. No. No. This time, let’s make a change. Join the Safina Party, the vessel of Kenya’s economic revolution
Every sensible politician agrees with Hon Rigathi Gachagua. The thieving leadership of NFD is becoming a national shame...we must help the people of NFD and come to their aid. Thank you Hon Kalonzo Musyoka @skmusyoka@WehliyeMohamed@AbdiwahabSheik7

"HIYO NI UPUZI MTUPU" Ahero, Mwea and Kirinyaga rice farmers are asking William Ruto's killer regime walimkosea wapi? Their bags of rice are rotting in stores while illegal plastic rice have been forcefully imported despite a court order being in place. The farmers are asking, "what happened to buy Kenya, build Kenya?"

God have Mercy on these innocent children and women from Mandera.
I am overwhelmed by the information and evidence coming through from Northern Kenya on the misery and inhuman conditions women and children endure daily especially now the drought is ravaging the North.
We must, collectively, without fear, come through for our fellow Kenyans in Northern part of our Nation.
They are going through unspeakable indignity, inhuman and degrading conditions while their leaders wallow in opulence and luxury using the taxpayers money meant for development in the North.
I call upon all Kenyans to rise up and speak for the North, they too, are Kenyans!

I consider it a compliment that this nepo baby calls me a traitor (msaliti).

Zenith Bank PLC has secured approval from the Competition Authority of Kenya to acquire 100% of Paramount Bank Limited, after the regulator found the transaction poses no competition risk in Kenya’s banking sector.
CAK said Zenith has no existing operations in the country and the deal will not alter market concentration.
Approval is conditional on Zenith retaining all 78 Paramount employees for at least 12 months after completion.
