@drlouisenewson @EmmaKennedy I went on provera tab and Estradot patches. They were and are the only patches i seem to be ok with but it took lots of trail and error trying to get settled. Ask away honest. I want to spread the education about women health and well being ❤

@drlouisenewson @EmmaKennedy Omggggg this happened to me. Heart attack and then tests showed all the wrong medication relating to HRT was not helping my body. That was 18months ago. Its taken all that time to find collect HRT for me. Feeling much better

I spoke to @EmmaKennedy about her menopause and she told me how she experienced heart palpitations so intense that she was taken in an ambulance because they thought she was having a heart attack.

Emma has always been fearful of HRT due to a family history of breast cancer, but a careful and detailed discussion with her GP around the benefits led to her starting a low dose of hormones which resolved the palpitations within 48 hours. Low oestrogen can often lead to palpitations.

Hannah is currently undertaking her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Exeter and within this, she is undertaking a major research project. She has chosen to undertake research to explore the experiences of women who have experienced head trauma from intimate partner violence and their help-seeking behaviour following this. With the view for this research to inform how we can better support these women.
