"America is the best idea the world has ever come up with. But Donald Trump may be the worst thing ever happened to America. He is trying to hijack the idea of America. People of conscience must not let this man turn their country into a casino."

"The Only Anesthesia Was a Song"

Dr. Mark Perlmutter recounts amputating the leg of a five-year-old girl in Gaza with no anesthesia available beyond an anesthesiologist singing to her. She remained awake through the entire procedure. He describes an ER filled with children missing limbs and says he appealed to a U.S. senator to push President Trump to intervene and stop the bombing.

'DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE 1st AMENDMENT?'

This IS what it looks like when a leader is fighting for humanity. 👏

Guess who made it through two years of genocide and finally graduated high school after a two-year delay because of the war on Gaza.

[sarah @sahouraxo]

This is beyond horrifying.

New data shows Israel has killed over 680,000 Palestinians in Gaza.

Among them:

• 380,000 infants under 5
• 99,000 children over 5

That’s 479,000 children murdered by Israel.

Israel isn’t “defending itself.”

It is wiping out Palestinian life.

A year has passed since the detention of my father,
In this white coat, he walked alone amidst death, destruction, and in front of tanks—not because he was fearless, but because his oath and his humanity were greater than any fear. He refused to abandon the children and the wounded at Hospital , and for that, he was detained.
This image is a testament to the courage of the man who was the last line of defense for life, and it is the very same scene that ended with his unjust arrest.
A full year of injustice has passed. Today, we ask for nothing but his freedom. Please share his story to keep his voice alive.

Oh, wow.

It wasn't just a Syrian-Australian who tried to stop the Bondi Beach attack.

An asylum seeker did, too.

The police shot at him - and members of the public attacked him.

When the police dragged him to the ground, someone kicked his head.

[Penny D. @PennyD42]

Ahmed undoubtedly saved hundreds of lives today in Bondi.

[aeli @aelix0]

This is the Bondi Beach hero.

Shot twice while trying to stop the attacker, completely unarmed.

According to 7NEWS, he’s a 43-year-old local shop owner.

Ordinary people doing extraordinary things when it matters most.

🚨 HEARTBREAKING

A Brown University student texted his mother during today’s active shooter lockdown:

“Mom, there’s a live shooting on campus. I’m going to run. I love you.”

He’s now barricaded in a supply closet with a dozen others. Lights off. Silent. One student having a panic attack.

This is America in 2025. Pray for them.

🚨HUGE: Gov. JB Pritzker has signed a law that creates a pathway to sue ICE agents for unlawful detentions and BANS immigration arrests around Illinois courthouses.

This is what protecting due process and fighting federal overreach looks like.
