I was once with a group of successful black men, all millionaires over the age of 45, one of them the CEO of a $20 billion dollar company.

A really famous rapper came up and started talking to the group. He was loud, ignorant, cussing like a fool and seeking attention. I think he thought we'd be excited that he wanted to talk to us.

We were not. It was like talking to a spoiled child.

One of the businessmen went to the person hosting the event and asked that the rapper be removed. They then escorted him out the door and told him not to come back.

Nobody cared how famous he was. Nobody cared about how many albums he sold. Nobody cared that he was on TV.

We just knew he was a loser.

The point is that while everyone thinks the loud entertainers have most of the wealth, power and respect, they don't. The real power brokers are the men and women who run corporations, make plans for their communities, raise their families and mentor the youth.

They know the difference between REAL POWER and a loud yapping, fast talking clown. Make sure you always know the difference.
