@papaorg No, because the rad fem brigade will be screaming that the mothers only stop contact as the fathers are abusive, blah blah blah, and then everyone says “oh, we don’t want to be seen as picking on mothers” and the kids get left in an alienating situation. The system is a joke.

@PAcumbria All of that is identical to our situation, except it was local authority that left them with the abusive parent when court and guardian said they should be put in care.

Trauma bonded children are groomed to love their abuser, they are rewarded for their alignment and their persecution of the parent they are forced to reject. Trauma bonding alienates children from their own sense of self and interrupts their normal developmental processes.

Today also marks an important anniversary of a brave woman who spoke out in the House of Lords to encourage the retention of parental alienation in the Domestic Abuse Act 21.

Baroness Meyer, who had personally experienced alienation from her own children, spoke on behalf of alienated mothers, fathers, and grandparents.

Her courage and advocacy was truly inspiring.

Let us all applaud her efforts and hope that truth and justice will prevail.

@mensrightsbunny Totally spot on. The gender bias is disgusting. A male that was groomed into a sexual relationship aged 15 by an older woman has been told by the police that they won’t be doing anything about it, even though they admitted that if the genders were reversed, he’d be in jail.

How on earth are professionals still being fooled by abusive parents into overlooking numerous expert reports detailing abuse going back many years and believing the twisted narrative and pathological lies, leaving vulnerable children to continue being abused? Shocking!

@AllianceAgains4 Maybe. I know our local authority are failing abused children because they are easily manipulated by master manipulating abuser into thinking she is akin to Mary Poppins and its all everyone else who’s the baddies. Makes me sick.

@AllianceAgains4 Aided by a system of professionals (social services, cafcass, etc) that do not or cannot understand the way this abuse happens and what it does to the children involved. Or just how manipulative an alienating parent can be.

1. Having worked with many children who have rejected their mother due to coercive control by a father they are afraid of, I can confidently say that the symptoms displayed by the child are the same as when a child rejects a father due to enmeshing strategies by a mother.

2. This is because mothers as well as fathers triangulate their children into the breakdown of the adult relationship, causing the onset of defensive strategies in the child which cause disorganised attachment. This is a psychological issue requiring structural family therapy.

3. It does not require pseudo-scientific ideological labels designed to sway public opinion. This is a relational trauma which causes harm to children who will, whatever it is called, display the same rejecting behaviours requiring the same structural protection from harm.
