Gross debt-to-GDP looks low vs peers only because your record net overseas migration has artificially pumped the GDP denominator while real per-capita GDP stagnates or falls. Real wages have plunged ~5.1% since March 2021 (OECD) while the OECD average rose ~5%. Aussies are poorer in real terms.
You inherited ~$895 billion gross debt. It’s now ~$971 billion and climbing toward $1 trillion. The “$200 billion lower than inherited” claim is a deliberate lie — you’re comparing to old Coalition projections, not the actual debt figure when you took office.
Sticky ~4% inflation, world-leading household debt, mortgage stress, and collapsing living standards aren’t “relative strength.” It’s a population ponzi propping up your fake metrics while ordinary Australians get crushed.
