= x-y= 32...(I)
The product,
= xy= 320...(ii)
From eq(I)
x=32+y.....(III)
Substitute x by 32+y in eq(ii)
= (32+y)y= 320
= 32y+y²= 320
y²+32y-320=0
Using quadratic equation
y= 8 or-40
An age cannot be negative.
Hence,
X= 32+8=40
