Penrith Town Council was proud to support @WandFCouncil and the Royal British Legion, to hold a short ceremony to raise the Armed Forces Day flag outside Penrith Town Hall today.
The Mayor of Penrith, Councillor Val Bowen gave a short speech, which can be watched below.

Sounds Around Town is back for 2025!
Penrith Town Council, in collaboration with Plug & Play, Eden Valley Artistic Network
and the Penrith Arts & Culture group, is once again bringing live music to the streets of Penrith every Saturday throughout the summer months.
Each Saturday afternoon, from around 2pm to 4pm, different bands and solo artists will perform in various locations around town - bringing energy, creativity, and a fantastic atmosphere to Penrith across the Summer.
Visit: https://t.co/RRJFVwFCja to access the Councilβs online survey. It will take between 5-10 minutes to complete. Paper copies are also available from the Penrith Town Council office, Penrith Library and Penrith Tourist Information Centre.

The Council is pleased to report that it has repainted a number of benches on Beacon Edge, helping to keep the area looking welcoming and well-maintained. This includes two benches near the cemetery, the distinctive green bench opposite Wordsworth Street and the Girl Guides Bench
