@coachnateb @PhysEdFreak Right... I just believe your attitude affects everything you do and how you do things. It’s much more productive to have a positive attitude and I believe you can do that while being realistic & having discussions. Being negative is much more toxic, in my opinion.

I’ve been seeing some posts about “toxic positivity” regarding teaching during this time. I don’t believe there is a such thing. I would like for my students to stay positive and encouraged during this time, so I believe in modeling that. Thoughts?

@Mr_C_PE @coachnateb Absolutely, I agree with that. You can’t be a good educator without taking care of yourself first. So I believe caring for yourself first is in the best interest of your students. I just don’t think “toxic positivity” is the right term. Attitude is everything in my opinion.

@coachnateb I guess my issue is the term used. I think that issues can be addressed and discussed while maintaining a positive attitude about what you can control as the educator. I just don’t think positivity should be described as “toxic.”
