IMPORTANT COVID-19 SAFETY WORKSHOP: Inclusion Winnipeg & Abilities Manitoba are hosting a COVID-19 Safety workshop this Friday from 10 am to 11:30 am. Intended audience is self-advocates, direct support staff, agencies & support networks for people with intellectual disabilities.

FIRST DISABLED PEOPLE WERE LOCKED AWAY IN INSTITUTIONS THEN, THEY WERE LOCKED BEHING THE EXPECTATIONS OF OTHERS. THE POWER TO SAY "THIS IS WHO I AM AND I EXPECT THAT YOUR RESPECT FOR ME WILL DEFINE YOUR SUPPORT OF ME" IS SOMETHING THAT PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES HAVE LONGED TO SAY.
