@FinTaylorcomedy To put things into perspective, I had never heard of "Fin Taylor", a total nobody, until he insulted Bob Dylan and Jeremy Corbyn, two people who have achieved more than he could ever dream of. It's so easy to criticise, less easy to actually do something meaningful.
I've worked in an office that was also a social hub. We ate lunch in the canteen, we went to the pub together, there were clubs and societies and 5-a-side and a quiz league with proper prizes, and at Christmas there was a big do with presents all round and cheap booze.
Cancelled by the BBC.
Last Thursday, I was due to be on the Today programme at 6.50am to defend Jeremy Corbyn and put an alternative view on the Panorama programme. But I was cancelled at 6.30am without explanation.
Someone was supposed to call me back. They didn't. @BBCr4today
. @jeremycorbyn fundraiser has over £180,000 in less than 48 hours.
It's comprised of almost *10,000* separate payments. Corbyn could start a UKIP of the left - it wouldn't win seats but would hugely damage Labour & pull them left.
He won't. Why? Because he isn't a narcissist.
In a single day this week, Jeff Bezos added £10 billion to his fortune.
To put this inequality into perspective, imagine you earned £30k a year, paid no tax & spent nothing.
It would take you more than 330,000 years to earn £10 billion.
The system is rigged for the super-rich.
@davidschneider My family has read the Guardian since I can remember. But we've been disappointed in it for a while, especially since the change of editor.
Perhaps it going under would open up space for something better?
It seems the hounding of Jeremy outside his house by the right wing media hasn’t stopped.
Whereas Tony Blair ended up as godfather to Murdoch’s child, the right wing media set out to destroy Jeremy because he is a socialist & anti-war internationalist.
Always proud of Jeremy.
Boohoo is accused of selling clothes made by workers in Leicester who are paid just £3.50 an hour.
It's also in line to pay one of its billionaire bosses £50 million in bonuses.
This isn't a coincidence:
Billionaires exist because the working class is exploited.
@davidschneider@TomLondon6@BoardofDeputies@Keir_Starmer@Ed_Miliband@Freedland It's very difficult because it's only antisemitic if a) it isn't true, or b) if the accusations is disproportionately levelled at Jewish groups.
I have no idea if it's true or not, or if this individual disproportionately accuses Jewish groups.
