Accordingly to WHO 20 out of 100 children in Kisumu are born with a Sickle Cell trait. A common setback in the disease management is the lack of useful information on the disease, and access to the essential drugs, especially to children from relatively poor families.
we invite you to Sip with Purpose at Coffee for Champions. Every ticket purchased directly supports children living with sickle-cell disease by helping provide medical treatment

Last week we were part of the CSO team hosted by Medicines Transparency Alliance - Kenya for a consultation meeting aimed at strengthening Primary Health Care (PHC) inputs into the County Annual Work Plan (AWP).
@MeTAKenya2018 has convened a vibrant team of CSOs in a consultation meeting to strengthen Primary Health Care (PHC) inputs into the County Annual Work Plan (AWP). Ongoing discussions have so far highlighted the critical role CSOs play in promoting transparency and accountability in health. As we consolidate our inputs, we are reflecting on key questions:
✅How can we strengthen PHC so that structures like the Primary Care Networks truly work for communities?
✅How do we make community health units functional and support CHPs for effective referrals?
✅How do we ensure sustainable financing for PHC at the county level?
✅How can we strengthen community participation and feedback mechanisms to improve accountability?
