The @EP_Environment's support for more ambitious recyclability measures in the #PPWR is a crucial step for the Union’s #sustainablepackaging objectives.

Recyclability performance grades now introduced in the PPWR will set the standard for a truly #CircularEconomy.

Looking towards the Plenary, we hope to see a wider support for a far-reaching definition of high quality recycling, emphasising materials' ability to withstand multiple recycling loops without changes to their main material properties.

#Aluminium, #glass and #steel are leading by example: thanks to their potential to be recycled over and over again, they are permanent resources for closed material loop schemes. This translates into greater resource efficiency and offers substantial environmental, economic, and social benefits.
