One year into Putin's war. In Odense🇩🇰 we show our support for #Ukraine. Glory to the people and brave warriors of 🇺🇦. They fight not only for their freedom and democracy, but also for ours. We remember and honor those who have given their lives for us all. #UkraineWillWin
Efforts to deal with the aftermath of the Russian strikes are ongoing in Kyiv, as well as in Kharkiv. Last night, the Russians launched more than 60 missiles at the capital alone. In total, 70 missiles and 611 drones were used against Ukraine. As of now, 28 people have been reported injured and four killed in the capital. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. A Russian strike on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra set the Dormition Cathedral on fire – a church whose history dates back to the 11th century. And this is one of Russia’s most serious crimes against Christian culture to date. The State Emergency Service has already extinguished the fire on the cathedral’s roof. In Kharkiv, the Russians carried out a repeat strike against our rescuers as they were putting out a fire at the site of an earlier strike on an industrial facility. So far, tragically, five people have been confirmed killed. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. Nine people have been injured. In Dnipro, Russia struck the grounds of a railway station, a college, and several enterprises.
Other cities and communities were targeted as well. The Kyiv, Dnipro, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Mykolaiv regions were also under attack. This is how Russia shows the world its intention to continue the war. It is very important that there be a response from the G7 countries, which are now gathering for their summit – and that this response be decisive and substantive: more pressure on the aggressor and more support for Ukraine’s air defense, especially anti-ballistic capabilities. I thank everyone who is helping us protect lives.
Heavy attacks on Ukraine last night, with more civilians killed and the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, a UNESCO site, seriously damaged.
Today, G7 leaders meet in Evian.
We will discuss the next steps to increase pressure on Russia, bring Putin to the negotiating table, and end this senseless killing.
Europe wants peace. Nobody more than the Ukrainian people. Russia, on the other hand, showed again its sole interest in violence and destruction.
Today, the European Union took a major step forward.
All Member States agreed to open the first accession negotiations cluster with Ukraine and Moldova.
At the first Intergovernmental Conference on Monday, we will open the cluster on fundamentals; the backbone of the accession process.
It covers the core values and principles on which the EU is built, from the rule of law to strong democratic institutions.
This is a recognition of the determination, courage and hard work shown by both countries in advancing reforms, even in the face of immense challenges.
And a signal that the EU’s offer of peace, stability and opportunity is unmatchable.
Enlargement is a strategic choice.
By bringing our nations closer together, we strengthen peace, security and prosperity across our continent.
In a world marked by growing uncertainty, a larger European Union is in our common interest.
Enlargement remains one of the EU’s greatest success stories and our best investment in our shared future.
We continue to apply Ukrainian long-range sanctions against Russian military facilities and the oil industry. In particular, last night Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingos struck a military plant in Cheboksary that supplies the occupier’s army with components for drones and missiles. I thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their precision! The Kuibyshev oil refinery in the Samara region was also hit last night. The distance from the frontline is more than 900 kilometers. I am grateful to the warriors of the Special Operations Forces, the Unmanned Systems Forces, and the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine. The entirely just responses of the Security Service of Ukraine also reached two oil infrastructure facilities in the Vladimir region, at a distance of 700 kilometers. I thank everyone who fights and works for Ukraine!
Golden Rule of MAGA Era:
- If we win: Election was clean and fair.
- If we lose: election was stolen riddled with fraud that we can’t prove but we know happened.
It is time to end this war. But Russia’s ruler wants to keep fighting. That is why Ukrainian sanctions against this aggression are working. Last night, our drones covered a distance of about 1,000 kilometers to the St. Petersburg region – to the enemy navy’s arsenals and a base in Kronstadt. Our long-range sanctions also reached about 500 kilometers into the Krasnodar region – and hit an oil depot. These are important results of the joint efforts by warriors from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine. Russia must end its war and stop its attacks on life. Any manifestation of injustice against Ukraine will receive a just response. I thank our warriors for their precision.
Unfortunately, the Russian side once again chooses war – everyone heard the response today. Weak response. He simply does not want to end the war.
I think many around the world were disappointed by that response. He does not want to change anything, and he does not want to admit that this war appeals only to him – and to those who are making money off him. They were all smiling very broadly today.
That means Russia must have less money, and there must be more pressure on Russia.
I thank everyone who is helping us. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine and wants a real peace.
Russian strikes on humanitarian vehicles are becoming very frequent.
Russia attacked the vehicles of the Red Cross Ukraine in Kherson. A 50-year-old employee was injured.
The Red Cross is a strictly humanitarian mission that helps civilians. The vehicles were clearly marked.
As the President of Ukraine has emphasized, Ukraine’s response to Russia’s prolongation of the war and its attacks on Ukrainian cities and communities is fully justified. Ukraine is sending a clear message to russians: the aggressor must end the war.

@ZelenskyyUa From sunflower seeds in 2022 to Zelenskyy's letter in 2026, the message and curse on all of russia remains unchanged...
*Russia must leave Ukraine*

🇪🇺🇺🇦 Fantastic news — all EU member states have given the green light to open Cluster 1 in accession talks with Ukraine and Moldova.
We are one step closer to the EU membership: steadily moving towards our goal.
Thank you to @CY2026EU and all EU members for keeping pace and supporting Ukraine’s European choice.
Ukraine welcomes the annual report by UN SG @antonioguterres, which lists Russian armed and security forces among parties credibly suspected of patterns of conflict-related sexual violence.
For the first time, Russia is put on this shame list — in addition to its earlier inclusion in another shame list for its crimes against children.
This double shame proves that Russian criminals have no place in any international fora, in any reputable international events, competitions, or efforts.
Today’s inclusion is a crucial step on the painful road to truth and accountability.
For years, Ukrainian women, men, and children have endured horrific acts of sexual violence as part of Russia’s war.
Particularly chilling is the systematic use of CRSV against Ukrainian POWs and civilian detainees in Russian captivity—used as an instrument of terror and humiliation.
We are deeply grateful to @antonioguterres and @USGSRSGPatten for their steadfast leadership and dedication to uncovering these crimes.
Concrete action must follow. Accountability for criminals. EU and G7 travel bans for Russian combatants. Isolation for Moscow: with such horrific crimes in its “portfolio” Russia should be kicked out from every community — ranging from major sports events to international organisations.
Had a productive discussion with Denmark’s Defense Minister @troelslundp
Grateful for the success of the "Danish Model", which has already attracted $3 billion to support our domestic production of drones, EW, and missiles. Looking forward to scaling this up, as it remains a top priority for the upcoming UDCG meeting.
We are also strengthening our defense partnership by localizing production in Denmark and working together on anti-ballistic solutions.
