Tam da mesele bu. Handoff/Continuity BTK’daki IMEI kontrolünü ortadan kaldırmıyor. 17 Pro Max dışarıda Türk operatörünün baz istasyonuna kendi modemiyle bağlandığı anda şebeke onun kendi IMEI’sini görür ve kayıt süresi bittiyse engel devreye girer. Handoff ise en fazla bazı arama/SMS işlemlerini başka cihaz üzerinden aktarır; 17 Pro Max’in mobil internet bağlantısını iPhone 12’nin IMEI’siymiş gibi şebekeye göstermez. Yani mevcut Handoff sistemiyle bu iş olmaz.
Olay aslında basit: Yurtdışı iPhone kendi başına Türk şebekesine bağlanırsa BTK onun IMEI’sini görür ve süre dolunca kapatır. Ama yeni sistemde yurtdışı iPhone, şebekeye direkt bağlanmak yerine kayıtlı Türk iPhone üzerinden arama, SMS ve internet kullanırsa iş değişebilir. Yani mesele aynı hattı kullanmak değil; yurtdışı telefonun şebekeye kendi IMEI’siyle girip girmemesi.
Apple is adding “iPhone Handoff” feature to iOS 27
It lets you use the same phone number across TWO iPhones and seamlessly switch between them.
- Main iPhone keeps the primary eSIM
- Second iPhone gets a companion eSIM
- Same number on both iPhone
- Switch between them anytime
- Cellular settings stay on the main iPhone
Both iPhones need iOS 27 and carrier support is required.
This could be HUGE for people with two iPhones.
Millet yine eSIM ile IMEI’yi birbirine karıştırmış. 😄 iPhone Handoff telefon numarasını iki cihaz arasında kullanmaya yarıyor, IMEI’yi klonlamıyor. Şebekeye bağlanan ikinci iPhone yine kendi IMEI’sini gönderiyor. BTK’da o IMEI kayıt dışıysa süre dolunca kapanır. Yani şu an için Handoff = IMEI kayıt bypassı değil.
Subject: The Continued Absence of Apple Pay in Türkiye Is No Longer Acceptable
Dear Apple,
It is becoming increasingly difficult to understand why Apple Pay continues to remain unavailable in Türkiye while Apple keeps expanding the service to more and more countries around the world.
Apple Pay is already available in countries such as North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, and many other markets that are considerably smaller than Türkiye in terms of population and overall consumer market size. Yet Türkiye — a country with a population of more than 85 million, millions of smartphone users, a highly developed banking system, and widespread contactless payment infrastructure — is still excluded from Apple Pay.
This contradiction is becoming impossible to ignore.
Türkiye is not a market that lacks technological infrastructure or familiarity with digital payments. Credit and debit cards are used extensively, contactless POS terminals are widespread, mobile banking adoption is extremely high, and Turkish consumers are generally very quick to adopt new technologies.
In other words, Türkiye is ready for Apple Pay.
The problem is that Apple Pay is still not ready for Türkiye.
At this point, the absence of Apple Pay can no longer be treated as a minor missing feature. It represents a significant gap in the Apple ecosystem for millions of users who purchase premium Apple products but are still prevented from using one of the ecosystem’s most important services.
More importantly, this situation could eventually become a serious competitive disadvantage for Apple.
Android users in Türkiye currently have access to a wider variety of NFC-based payment solutions provided by banks and other payment applications. When a consumer pays a premium price for an iPhone but discovers that users of competing platforms have greater flexibility when it comes to mobile payments, Apple should not underestimate how strongly this can influence future purchasing decisions.
Apple’s greatest strength has never been hardware alone.
It is the ecosystem.
But when one of the most important parts of that ecosystem remains unavailable to millions of customers in a major market for years, users inevitably begin to question the value of remaining within that ecosystem.
Turkish Apple customers should not be treated as second-class users.
Millions of Apple users in Türkiye deserve access to the same Apple Pay experience that customers in many other countries have enjoyed for years.
We therefore strongly urge Apple to stop overlooking Türkiye and to take concrete steps toward launching Apple Pay by working with Turkish banks, payment networks, financial institutions, and the relevant regulatory authorities.
Failing to address this issue could become a significant long-term mistake.
Apple should not assume that today’s loyal iPhone users will remain loyal indefinitely while competing platforms continue to offer them services and freedoms that Apple does not.
Türkiye is one of the largest and most dynamic consumer markets in its region, and its Apple customers deserve better.
Türkiye is ready for Apple Pay. Now we want to know whether Apple is ready for Türkiye. 🇹🇷
Best regards, An Apple user from Türkiye
