Russian soldiers raped women aged 19 to 83 in Kherson region, placing relatives nearby so they could hear the screams, UN Commission says.

According to the head of the independent international commission of inquiry into violations in Ukraine, Erik Møse, in some cases torture was used with such cruelty that it led to the victim's death.

#Ukraine's own public opinion is completely overlooked by those pushing for an end to the conflict because continuing it would lead to "more suffering".

They refuse to see Ukraine and the Ukrainians as sovereign actors who can make decision as to what they consider acceptable or not.

In doing so, the self-portrayed "supporters of peace" are (deliberately or not) aligning themselves with Russia's position, which is that Ukraine "does not exist".

But it does, and their president can do no less than act upon the people's will - which is what the leader of a democratic government does.

The Soviets invaded Poland 84 years ago on this day. They explained to the Poles that they had come to liberate them from the Nazis. The Polish people had no idea that this attack had been planned in collaboration with the people the Soviets were supposed to protect them from.

The Red Army waited for 16 days because they needed a reason to invade Poland and not break the non-aggression pact signed in 1932. The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was signed a week before the Germans started WW2.

Germans also tried to convince Poles that it was the Polish Army that bombed Warsaw and that Germany hit only military targets. Does this sound familiar? Russia learned a lot from the Nazis.

Let’s go back to what happened that made Hitler believe he could enslave Europe:
▪️In 1938, Europe let Hitler occupy border areas of Czechoslovakia, hoping he would stop. Well, he didn’t. It gave him the green light for further aggression. A few months later, Germany occupied the entire country, and the next year started WW2.
▪️After a successful occupation, it started limiting people’s rights and committing genocide against the native population.

On September 17, 1939, the Soviet Red Army invaded Poland, splitting the country in half with Germany as previously agreed between the two.

Russians don’t know how to move to the EU without their stuff from Russia.

They never cared how people felt when they lost everything they had overnight and had to wear old clothes someone donated because one terrorist country decided it could come and burn everything down.

She’ll get to the EU, buy new shoes and iPads, and complain for months about how everyone hates Russians for no reason at all and why the EU sanctioned Russia.

A few trends I've noticed in the comments of Russian trolls/supporters here on X recently:

◾️Russia has been provoked into war;
◾️Negotiations and compromises, as soon as possible;
◾️Sanctions don't work, so they need to be removed
◾️Ukraine is now the aggressor as it launched the counteroffensive;
◾️give up on Crimea and other occupied parts of Ukraine.
◾️It's all not so clear.

It was the first time they destroyed a Russian submarine.

Submarine B-237 "Rostov-on-Don" was destroyed in a Ukrainian missile strike agains the dry-docks of Sevastopol, Crimea this morning.
