Recently finished the Lord of Hatred campaign with @Graceful_Healer, and there were so many standout moments throughout. The voice acting, the weight behind the story beats, the atmosphere it all landed in a way that genuinely surprised me at times.

But one moment stood above the rest.

🚨 SPOILER ALERT 🚨

Tyrael’s arrival.

They easily could have leaned into pure fan service a dramatic entrance, Tyrael charging headfirst into battle with Mephisto, delivering some grand heroic spectacle. Instead, they chose something far more intimate and human.

That embrace with Lorath… man, that hit hard.

It felt deeply personal in a way I wasn’t fully prepared for. Especially considering how things feel in the world lately and for many of us personally. Sometimes it feels like we’ve done everything we could and still somehow left a trail of broken things behind us. Maybe it’s just been a difficult few weeks. Maybe life, as gamers or otherwise, hasn’t unfolded the way we imagined it would.

But in that brief moment, there was understanding. Grace. Forgiveness.

Say what you will about @Blizzard_Ent and I know opinions will differ but I still believe there’s a genuine heart beating at the core of what they create. There’s still soul there, and moments like this remind me why their stories continue to resonate so deeply.
