OpenAI Aeon is looking more real by the day. 👀

Recent Codex code reportedly includes aeonDraftName, aeonDraftAppearance, aeonModelId, and thread/startAeon, which sounds a lot more like a persistent, configurable AI agent than a simple model variant.

Pair that with earlier reporting that OpenAI is building always-on AI teammates to compete with Grok Bot, and… yeah.

Something is cooking.

Profiles, DMs, and a full social layer are still unconfirmed, but if Aeon becomes a persistent AI presence inside ChatGPT, things are about to get very interesting.
