Okay, @MetsBooth. The Figaro duet totally made up for missing playing Gene Krupa last week. Bit of pop culture trivia: that duet was used to great effect in Shawshank. Thank you, @HowieRose for sharing with us the FULL unexpurgated version of how you ended up at the opera. Once.
@MetsBooth No worries. I’m just always impressed with your outros when a musical reference is made. And I loved that Howie mentioned a jazz musician. @HowieRose@KeithRaad
I loved this a year ago, and I loved remembering it again today! How cool that must have felt, if a little strange! Great call, Howie, and hopefully another “fairy tale” season will come along soon! #mets
I left Section 318 in the 8th, and I just couldn’t not look—sort of like Lot’s wife. The vivid description of the Phillies fan in the back of 317 provided by Howie Rose and Keith Raad proved to be dead on. I happened to see the MooMoo mascot right after that, and, well… #mets
@KeithRaad@MetsBooth@HowieRose I guess we should be grateful that the Phillies fan at the back of Section 317 is not in the batter’s eye (even if he’s unfortunately in the “announcer’s eye.”)🤪
Dumb question. If the parabolic dishes are a set up for TBS tomorrow night, why are they intolerable tonight for Bohm or anyone else—especially since they’ve been there for four innings already. WTF?! @metsbooth@HowieRose@KeithRaad#mets
.@AliceCoote A bit tardy, but BRAVISSIMA for your recent performance at @bbcproms , dear Alice!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Oh how we have missed your gorgeous voice and inspired nuanced interpretations here on the other side of the pond.
