The reason why to this day Pak-Taliban relations are in tatters is because the Taliban’s second Emir Mullah Akhtar Mansoor was killed in Balochistan with the help and intelligence of Pakistan after his frequent travels to Iran and the UAE. The ISI wanted to send a clear signal to the TB leadership: you are either my asset or dead. You can not be triple dealing on my watch. In addition, many Taliban leaders who defied the ISI were arrested and mostly killed inside Pakistani jails. Never to be heard of again.

دانشگاه اکسفورد؛ یکی از معتبرترین و مهم‌ترین مراکز دانشگاهی و علمی جهان، نشست‌ویژه‌ای را در مرکز دانشکدۀ حکومت‌داری بلاواتنیک این دانشگاه زیر نام «پس از چهارسال: بازاندیشی در جنگ علیه تروریسم و چشم‌انداز افغانستانِ طالبانی» برگزار کرد و در آن اشتراک ورزیدیم.

رهبر جبهۀ مقاومت ملّی افغانستان، محترم آمرصاحب احمد مسعود، در این اجلاس دانشگاهی به سخنرانی پرداخت. ایشان با حاضران، پیرامون شرایط اسفبار افغانستان زیر حاکمیت گروه تروریستی طالبان، تحولات اخیر مقاومت، و نیز مسیر کلّی ژئوپلتیکی که اکنون افغانستان در آن قرار گرفته‌است، بحث، گفتگو و تبادل دیدگاه کردند. رهبر جبهۀ مقاومت ملّی افغانستان، چالش‌های سنگینی را که اکنون مردم کشور با آن مواجه‌اند، تهدیدهای ناشی از تسلط طالبان در تمامی عرصه‌های اجتماعی و سیاسی، و نیز مبارزۀ مستمر مردم ما برای رسیدن به آزادی، عدالت، دولت مشروع و آیندۀ مردم‌سالار و مبتنی بر ارادۀ مردم را تشریح و توضیح ارائه کرد.

پس از سخنرانی رهبر جبهۀ مقاومت ملّی، بنده به بحث ادامه دادم و نیز، به پرسش‌های اشتراک کنندگان در پیوند به موضوعاتی که از سوی رهبر جبهه مطرح گردیده بود، به پاسخ پرداختم. آیندۀ سیاسی افغانستان، نقش مقاومت، پویایی‌های امنیتی منطقه‌ای و مسئولیت جامعۀ جهانی در برابر مردم افغانستان، محورهای بحث و دیدگاه‌هایی بودند که ارائه کردم. این اجلاس ویژه، گفتگویی پربار و معنادار با پژوهش‌گران، استادان، دانشجویان و اعضای جامعۀ دانشگاهی یکی از معتبرترین و بزرگ‌ترین دانشگاه‌های جهان بود.

از محترم پروفسور جانینا دیل، برای گردانندگی این گفتگو، و از بانو کلر فوکس و تعدادی از دانشجویان، از بهر تلاش‌ها و همیاری‌شان در برگزاری این برنامه و فراهم سازی فضای اندیشمندانه و گشودن باب گفتگو و تبادل دیدگاه پیرامون مسائل افغانستان، ابراز قدردانی و امتنان می‌کنیم.

این اجلاس، در ادامۀ تلاش‌های مستمر، بی‌وقفه و دائمی ما در جهت تعامل با سازمان‌ها و بنگاه‌های بزرگ تولید فکر و دانشگاهی در سراسر جهان است. تلاشی که در راستای افزایش آگاهی‌دهی دربارۀ وضعیت جاری افغانستان و ترویج دیدگاه، مبارزه و اهداف جبهۀ مقاومت ملّی افغانستان، صورت می‌گیرد. پس از برنامه‌های مشابه در دانشکده کندی دانشگاه هاروارد و اجلاس در کمبریج در سال پار، حضور ما در دانشگاه آکسفورد، گام مهم دیگر و ادامۀ تلاش‌های ما برای رسانیدن صدای مردم افغانستان به محافل آینده‌ساز بزرگ فکری، علمی و دانشگاهی جهان، به شمار می‌رود.
