@morebl__dpls Misogyny permeates everything, and I mean everything, even a stupid gay ship from genshin impact. This is not me saying that Kaveh is a victim of misogyny, rather hes a victim of how we view the world because of misogyny.
@ataraxiabts People act as if Kaveh was the sole cause, but Alhaitham was also a part of the problem,,,, people always forget that because any and all issues between people are stirred on by the emotional party in their minds.
@morebl__dpls its why a women's input is often ignored. Its the system in place elevating men and their "rationale" while demonizing women for their sensitivity that has us conditioned to think this way.
@morebl__dpls I 100% agree and have always believed this to be the case. Again, separate from Haikaveh, the societal conditioning we have undergone to veiw being emotional as being wrong or illogical is a result of misogyny. Its why people dont believe that women could be good world leaders,-
@ClayQuail@xdendronerdx THIS EXACTLY !!! Ive been saying this. Archon Quest Alhaitham is very different from the one he started developing into after it. His perspectives have been changing and he's been changing as well !! Thats what makes his character so good !!
Something that really bugs me concerning Alhaitham's character is how people ALWAYS frame him as in the right because of how he holds himself. Because he is calm and rational people take his word as law and think hes incapable of being in the wrong, which bothers me,,,,
@ClayQuail@teaparty_withme@xdendronerdx People also dismiss how mean Alhaitham can be sometimes, and thats also a result of people thinking hes solely rational and correct. Hes so smart people dont even process how he behaves as rude, because Alhaitham is usually right, he must also be right in his attitude.
@jynilla I agree with this so hard. I think I even mightve said something like this before. Smart characters are very often written as the people who have all of the answers and whos judgement should never be questioned, and Alhaithams character suffers from this view.
@jynilla I cannot STAND this kind of writing around Alhaitham. It genuinely irritates me to see his character stripped of, well, its character. Hes not written as human, hes written like a god, and I consider Alhaitham's undeniable humanity one of the most interesting parts about him.
@PerfectinPinke Dare I say ppl don’t confront his character as boldly as they should because they are so used to taking smart people at face value in their own lives 😭 bc that’s what it always reads as 😭
@rain_doves Alhaitham's life with his problems. Its honestly quite the reflection on how society as a whole has molded us to view people like Kaveh vs people like Alhaitham. It makes me pretty sad honestly.
@rain_doves That user is spitting facts. Because of how emotional Kaveh tends to be, people are hard wired to dismiss him as hysterical or even a burden that is bringing Alhaitham down because thats how society views emotional people. Hes blamed for everything from their fallout to ruining-
@transfeanorian AWWWE, thank you so much (⸝⸝> ω <⸝⸝) !! That means so, so much to me. I really love Alhaitham as a character and think hes so well done if you really look into him, and im so sad not everyone is more willing to examine him much deeper than his surface.
