@DrNighatArif Why are you negative with regards to hysterectomy? ‘Atrocious’ you describe the only cure. This operation is not taken lightly and is life changing. It’s the most debilitating condition. Why not use your voice to gain funding and research for women sufferers.
‘Atrocious’ term used by a menopause specialist and GP to describe the treatment available a hysterectomy.
How insensitive & negative
Why don’t you get behind the funding and research before you comment next.

Great to see BBC raising awareness for I have every sympathy for the brave women in this article for speaking up. Adenomyosis is the most debilitating condition speaking from personal experience.

On today's #MenopauseDay, we're taking this opportunity to remind everyone:
📣 Conversations around menopause need to be open and inclusive 📣
So, what are the symptoms of menopause, and how might they manifest in the gender-diverse community?

Pleased at last!
Adenomyosis awareness is being taken seriously! 💪
🩸34 Years of being fobbed off my medical experts and gaslighted. Told it was all in my head, once I had a family it would settle down!

@menomatters Yes, but no to a tick boxing exercise. Have recently used a menopause service and to be hjnrst it was deflating. Yes but a long way to go to make a difference, who agrees?
@bbc5live@lregan7@TVNaga01@BBCSounds 5/ the adenomyosis was there with fibroids. It was the loneliest, scariest and traumatic time of my life during the pandemic dealing with this. Doctors didn’t know what to do. I had major surgery two years ago. This disease is not discussed and is debilitating and crippling.
@bbc5live@lregan7@TVNaga01@BBCSounds 4/ adenomyosis came back with a vengeance during the height of lockdown April 2020. I ended up in A&E I was sent home. They could not admit me. I was sent home to bleed. No treatment to stop it. My GP refused to send me gif a scan. It took 6 weeks.
@bbc5live@lregan7@TVNaga01@BBCSounds 3/ I was told having children the “condition” would get better let me tell you now it became worse. I was diagnosed around my early 40’s when I was diagnosed at the same time with early menopause. I naively thought the adenomyosis and women’s health just went away.
@bbc5live@lregan7@TVNaga01@BBCSounds 2/The medics don’t know hot to treat this disease. Take this from a 51 year old whose been suffering since I was 18. I’ve been gaslighted , fobbed off and had unnecessary procedures. I nearly had my appendix taken out and sterilised. They didn’t know what it was.
What extremely sad news this morning. As I came off Good Morning Britain I heard of the passing of my dearest friend Len Goodman.
My past teacher, a dance legend and a true gentlemen. He was a shining star in the ballroom that everyone loved. ❤️ …
Very sad to hear about the death of dear wonderful gentleman, Len Goodman. My heart goes out to his family & dear Sue. He gave me such support on my time at Strictly. I feel so lucky to have worked with such a professional, funny loveable man.
Thank you for the special memories x
Rest in peace Len Goodman.
You will be forever loved, always missed and never forgotten.
Sending love and thoughts to your family, your friends and your fans.
