Update on free menstrual products for Ontario students announced

📢18 million products over 3 years

📢1200 dispensers instilled this fall

📢School boards to determine which schools will be given priority for the products

📢 pads for now, hopes to expand options

Gender equity can't be achieved until we alleviate period poverty. My daughter and I proudly volunteer for @Period_Packs who have donated over 1/4 million products this year. This new fund, part of @JustinTrudeau's @liberal_party platform is critical.🙌🏻🙌🏻@MaryamMonsef @telfordk

So far in 2021 Period Packs has provided over 260,000 period products to the Ottawa community while working to ensure #menstrualequity gets on the Canadian political agenda

Today, as part of the Liberal Platform a $25M "menstrual equity fund" has been proposed
