If you were to pinpoint one spark plug that flipped the tide of the series, this is it for me
Down 3-1 on the road and down by as much as 13 in the second half, Quentin Grimes came off the bench and gave them 18 points (12 in second half) and 4 threes
Great job by the Sixers here baiting the defensive switch and help from Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby — leaving VJ Edgecombe wide open near the elbow to kick out to Quentin Grimes for the triple.
Payton Pritchard gave Boston its first lead with a three and Joel Embiid missed a jumper, but Quentin Grimes flew in to draw a foul and keep the possession alive. He then scored later in the play, and VJ Edgecombe followed it up with a three. Massive swing play from Grimes.
Quentin Grimes on guarding Jaylen Brown: "Just locking in. He's a top-five player, MVP candidate ... I'm just trying to be as disruptive as possible ... as long as I make it as tough as possible, I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job on him in this series."

Can we talk about this defensive sequence from Quentin Grimes for a second?
Yes, he hit some huge shots tonight, but this was absolutely incredible on Jaylen Brown. Full court pressure. No reaching. Took up nearly the entire shot clock. Forced a miss.
UNBELIEVABLE sequence
Quentin Grimes played one of his best two-way games as a member of the Sixers in their Game 5 win in Boston on Tuesday. They probably would not have won the game without Grimes, whose emotion on the court leveled up, too:
Former Houston Cougars are putting on a show in the NBA Playoffs. After Jamal Shead’s defense, Quentin Grimes shows his 3 pt shooting & had the best playoff game of his career on the road in an elimination game

Former University of Houston star Quentin Grimes put up a playoff career-high 18 points, hit four threes and drove Celtics star Jaylen Brown crazy with some relentless shadowing defense to help the 76ers avoid elimination in Boston. No wonder why Grimes is so respected by his Philadelphia teammates.
"Q can score the ball," young 76ers star VJ Edgecombe told @PaperCityMag right before the playoffs. "We've all seen it. He guards. Just a two-way player. Somebody that can knock down shots, get to the rim, play defense."
Grimes finished a plus 18 in 24 minutes off the bench in the 76ers series-extending win over Boston.
