Walking through the Pearl and the grass smells FOUL like who approved this 😭 and now they’re taking the cats away too… there should be a place for the dogs to do their business @udcqatar

Yet it’s the harmless, well-loved cats being targeted.
These cats are part of our environment, part of our daily lives. Please reconsider this decision. Compassion should come first. 🐾

Why are you removing the cats from The Pearl? What have they ever done to deserve this? For years, they’ve lived peacefully among us with zero complaints—residents have shown them nothing but kindness, feeding them and enjoying their calm, comforting presence.

Now suddenly they’re being taken away? It doesn’t make sense.
Meanwhile, there are other ongoing issues in the community—like the foul smell lingering in grassy areas from dogs relieving themselves—that residents have largely tolerated without complaint.

I saw this on an advertisement and it’s unacceptable. Animals should not be used in circuses or public spectacles for entertainment. This kind of imagery normalizes animal exploitation and sends the wrong message, especially to children.

For my fellow QU students: if you ever see the ladies cleaning the bathrooms or the men working outside, consider grabbing them a water or a small snack from the vending machine. Not forcing anyone — but it really puts a smile on their faces. 💛
