The photo shows the destroyed buildings of the "Dityachy Svit" department store, the "Druzhba" cinema, the Lysychansk Mining and Industrial College, and Peremohy Avenue.

The once bustling streets now look deserted and abandoned, and the city has become a symbol of the tragic consequences of Russian aggression.

Lysychansk is one of the oldest cities in Eastern Ukraine , which has been repeatedly attacked by Russian occupiers.

In May 2014, an illegal pseudo-referendum was held here, after which the city came under the control of groups of the so-called "LPR".

- In July of the same year, the Ukrainian military liberated Lysychansk, but the full-scale Russian invasion in February 2022 brought a new wave of destruction.

Since February 2022, Lysychansk has been subjected to numerous artillery attacks. Key infrastructure facilities have been destroyed, including residential buildings, hospitals, schools, kindergartens, the central market, and a television tower.

- The Lysychansk Mining College and the Pavlograd Bridge have been destroyed.

For the second time, we celebrate Christmas on the same date as one big family, one country. For the second time in modern history, Christmas unites all Ukrainians. Today, we stand side by side. In person, from afar, or in our hearts – Ukrainians are together today. And as long as we do this, evil has no chance.
