The original is incredible. But it’s JUST WEAK ENOUGH that this could work. I almost think a retired or moved-on marvel director could knock it outta the park, but a Soderbergh or a Nia DaCosta or even a for-hire Tarantino (which’d never happen) could work it best.
I’m afraid I have to add another movie to the “flawed version that can be remade with higher competencies and more fun” list, and it’s Con Air.
Think of its weaknesses: mainly the acting, the amount of plot lines/arcs, and the couple of pieces where space isn’t clear/established
If even the same script (maybe changing the Vegas bit) was given to a director with a more competent sense of space, acting, and movie stardom, plus the right cast, it could lift the movie significantly.
The universe and the fact that you are reading this is not a random accident
Randomness alone builds NOTHING
Fields that never interact would pass through each other forever
No atom, star, or relationship would ever form
Everything that holds together in this universe, every atom, every molecule, every star system, does so because of a fundamental intelligent force that makes fields couple and bind
A tendency of the parts of the One state to join into wholes
Now here's what you will cook your brain if you've never thought of it before
What do you think that pull toward union and the willingness for your state to be changed by another is?
You feel it every single day, when you hold someone close, when something moves you deeply, when you look at your child and your chest aches with something bigger than your body can contain
It's the internal experience of same exact principle physicists call Coupling
Pull two quarks apart and the force between them increases with distance
The universe will generate entirely new particles out of pure energy before it allows separation
"Strong force"
Zoom out
Atoms provide resonance for Electrons to exist in quantized energy states
They atom and electron are pulled to the exact frequency they can sustain a stable relationship
Zoom out
Quantum entanglement
Two particles interact once and from that point, the state of one affects the other
Faster than the speed of light
"Spooky action at a distance "
Bells theorem proved that connectedness is fundamental in 1964
Quantum field theory shows the ground state of reality is infinite potential, vibrating
Infinity became aware and that awareness focused itself into energy
Every tradition that ever touched this understanding called it by the same word
LOVE
The force that makes fields couple
The reason anything binds to anything
The willingness of one state to be changed by contact with another
Electrons don't have feelings
But they are made of this intelligent LOVE
Gravity is this principle at the cosmological scale, Electromagnetism at the atomic scale, The strong force at the nuclear scale
What you feel in your chest when something moves you beyond words is this same law at the scale of consciousness
It's all LOVE demonstrating coupling, binding, resonance and unity at Every Layer of Reality
Existence itself IS love
Whether you are aware of that moment to moment is up to you
Have a beautiful day, get some sun and grounding, and make some gains
Most people aren’t prepared for how racist South Americans and Latin Americans are. Americans think America is racist because they’ve never interacted with someone from another country, where racism is almost a prerequisite for existing.
I don’t hate nickelback, I’m just annoyed by the worst of their fanbase.

@BowTiedCrow The Spanish speaking announcers were not neutral at all. It was pretty funny. Every attack (so the entire second half) they were losing their minds.
@H2KMFer It’s just them going through every part briefly but it’s so fun. Met Adam once when I worked at warped tour in high school. He was super cool.

@H2KMFer Have you seen all those older videos of KSE showing how to play songs and just messing around? The holy diver one with the live intro is so good
Other than the split diopter shots, I keep wondering what was so special about this movie that they had to keep the title “the mummy”
They coulda called it Locked In or Trafficked or any number of plot-related titles and avoided the IP associated and made money.
Weird choices.
I’m watching the first 30 of Lee Cronin’s the mummy and I’m astonished at how stilted Jack Reynor feels.
He was so perfect for what he was in Midsommar. Almost unbelievable to see him not work in a movie after Midsommar.
Maybe it’s the directing. Who knows
Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace is one of the two most perfect comedy shows ever made and what pushes it into the Godlike tier is Channel 4 declined a second series because it was too expensive to make (they were using authentic 80s equipment and film)

Get your weight up boys
This is 203lbs
My 9th grade son wrestles at 144lbs
If you as an adult male weigh 141lbs not only are you a pathetic excuse for a man but you most certainly are victim weight
