CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department is assisting City of Riverside Fire Department with a vegetation fire in the area of Main Street / Garner Road in the City of Riverside. Chiefs, multiple engines and a bulldozer are assigned. Residents will see and smell drift smoke in the area. Today, PESD hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the modernization and new construction project that is underway at Perris Elementary School. This project includes updates to the school's classrooms, MPR, and a new front office.
Today, Superintendent Bivens and the Governing Board led the community and staff in the Young Explorers Academy ribbon cutting ceremony. This program will provide hands-on learning opportunities for our TK students across the district in theme based classrooms.
