It’s not just about rhinestones & sparkles today at PCS. Well, there are also cowboy boots, belt buckles, flannel, & fringe. Our festivities in honor of the iconic late Dolly Parton are shining a light on kindness and show small acts can make a HUGE difference! #PrideInTheHive
It's never too early to educate our students about responding to an emergency situation. Officer Spink is visiting kindergartners this week to discuss when it's an appropriate time to dial 9-1-1 and the questions they will be asked by the dispatcher. #PrideInTheHive
The PCS Drama Club is bringing a fall play to the stage this year! The cast and crew had their first read through of "Clue" last night and are eager for audiences to see the show in November. More information will be shared soon! #PrideInTheHive
Are you ready to roll?! It's a question that the members of the 5/6 Grade Bike Club love hearing every fall & spring. The group kicked off their season yesterday w/ Mrs. McDanel & volunteers Lisa Patterson, Robin Manning, Alison Smithley, Dana Skinner, and Kris Goodell.
LPW football opened the season on Friday with a loss to Alexander/Pembroke, but it was a night of remembrance and gratitude as the teams marked the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks and honored all first responders in attendance.
Our seniors hosted their Sunrise Breakfast this morning on the turf! While all the members of the Class of 2027 were invited, we understand that some chose to stay in bed. Before the sun came up, the group cooked breakfast, played games, and made memories together. 🐝💙💛
Bus drills started this morning! Thanks to our drivers for getting our students to and from school and events safely each and every day. We also have to give a shout out to the high schoolers who helped out. #PrideInTheHive 🚌🐝💙💛
Today is the first step to a great school year! Superintendent McLaughlin welcomed our teachers and support staff back to PCS this morning, reminding them that anything is possible when you work with a good team. #PrideInTheHive 💙💛🐝
We know it's not Thursday and, well, it's also not technically the new school year, but we have to post this throwback photo because we're very excited to welcome our incoming seniors back for their final first day at PCS! #PrideInTheHive#ClassOf2027
This morning, our JH students who have been on the Honor Roll this school year are being treated to a special breakfast to celebrate their hard work! Thanks to our awesome kitchen staff and school personnel for cooking and serving waffles, yogurt parfaits, pastries, and more.
May 1 is National College Decision Day and our faculty/staff and administrators are showing seniors their support by representing a college near and dear to their hearts. #PrideInTheHive#ClassOf2026

It seems like yesterday that we were welcoming this group into PES for the 1st time, marking the start of a journey of learning, growth & achievement. Many came to us in Sept anxious to become Yellowjackets, but they've grown into confident soon-to-be kindergartners.
