Perry Plant will conduct a siren test on Wed., April 14 at 11 a.m. A steady tone will be heard from local emergency sirens in Lake County for about three minutes. Siren testing is part of the plant’s local emergency preparedness program to ensure all sirens are working properly.

In an effort to avoid causing unnecessary concern for the public, the Perry Nuclear Power Plant audible siren test scheduled for Wed., April 8, 2020 has been re-scheduled as a silent test. We expect to conduct an audible test as previously scheduled during 2020's next quarter.

The @USGS reported a 4.0 earthquake centered in Eastlake, Ohio, shortly before 11 a.m. No abnormal or unusual indications have been noted at our facility + workers are conducting a comprehensive visual inspection to assure there is no change in the condition of plant equipment.
