@28ripslater I'm only glad I wasn't diagnosed as a child because I was raised in an evangelical family that would *not* have handled that diagnosis well.
It does help me make sense of a lot of things, though.
@frogs4girls I used to be really afraid of spiders and then I found a bunch of baby spiders and just let them crawl all over my hands. Don't recommend but it fixed me.
@28ripslater Financial pressures suck and the job market in my field is terrible right now. I've been out of a job for almost two years.

@evemmore I've always seen Frankenstein as a book about being betrayed by your creator when he can't cope with what he's wrought. Maybe not the exact same as yours, but those other themes were never my main takeaway.
@demonikyu My partner used to do this because of a medication side effect, and we both just do it sometimes regardless of meds.

@faeriebites My parents wouldn't let me, then I never sought it out. I watched it with my partner, and I thought it was a lot of fun. I did watch Indiana Jones as a kid, and this reminded me of that vibe.
