@YAMI_SISI Well trading in Yugioh means first and foremost cards with value not merch. If people have merch they are probably just gonna sell it or if the card(s) doesn’t really have value you are better off selling it as bulk.

Thank you for saying this. Even in Goat/Edison formats those players have their own idea of what a fun casual game would look like. Truly low powered casual games like Playground Yu-Gi-Oh only work with dedicated friend groups and not random people who have their own idea of fun

@atrocityTCG Because getting people to agree on power level in casual is hard. One person wants to run La Jin and Blue eyes, another wants to do retro but like tier 3 and below, run 3x of the newest structure, or run a pure deck that is pre-links with some new support. No one can agree on it.

@KillerKeeWee I mean if the game is going to allow for boards which have multiple negates and disruptions including the option to play on your turn then cards like Super Poly have to exist. I mean is it that much different than tribute three monsters for Sphere Mode which you can’t respond to.

As a Yu-Gi-Oh player, do you find the game's complexity to be a feature or a bug? This has been on my mind a lot lately. To me and many long-time players, a big appeal to Yu-Gi-Oh is the mechanical precision. Card effects are often very unique and highly specific. But those same things give it an understandable reputation as the least approachable card game. Do you think the nuance is ultimately a net positive or negative?

@TeamAPS That is a good idea but something that shouldn’t be done with every archetype simply due to a lack of fan fare which can result in structure decks sitting on shelves like Spirit Charmers. I think it may be worth revisiting the Deck Builder Sets but make them worth opening.
