@PedoPanderer@LabDeadlyWeapon@RealPostFolder Imo steam isn't a monopoly anywhere as much as Sony or Nintendo is locking their games behind full $300+ hardware and steam isn't harming competitors at all so they are doing nothing wrong by having a natural monopoly
@PedoPanderer@LabDeadlyWeapon@RealPostFolder Again, there's nothing stopping any devs from selling their games cheaper elsewhere, it's most convenient for consumers and developers on steam. They could even lock their games out of steam but they don't because they know that's where the players are.
@PedoPanderer@LabDeadlyWeapon@RealPostFolder That was because Bethesda decided to package it that way, if they wanted to they could've made their own launcher, they did what was convenient. There's nothing stopping today's devs from selling their games cheaper on other platforms they just don't.
@PedoPanderer@LabDeadlyWeapon@RealPostFolder I personally think there's nothing wrong with a natural monopoly, it's not like they're stopping others from competing, they're just offering the best service and the best prices
@PedoPanderer@LabDeadlyWeapon@RealPostFolder I do too, just steam sales are generally insane so my largest library is there and it's easily my favorite as a result of all the extra features and ease of use compared to the rest
@PedoPanderer@LabDeadlyWeapon@RealPostFolder Yes you dont need it but is sure as hell makes it a lot easier, just click install and it does it automatically.
Stores like epic just have awful ui, slow load times with large libraries.
Gog is the only solid competitor in my opinion only held back by its lack of newer games
@PedoPanderer@LabDeadlyWeapon@RealPostFolder Correct, and as I said, steam is the only store to include all of these in one package, no one wants to manually transfer game files over a network to another pc, family share is a feature that makes it a better store, along with the follow/ignore buttons
@theweevilguy@WisleyChalke Helldivers was reviewbombed because of the Sony account requirement, people are only recently giving bad reviews based on actual game changes
@PedoPanderer@LabDeadlyWeapon@RealPostFolder there's still remote play, steam input, steam recording/streaming, local network transfers, steam profile customisation etc. It may not be the best at all those things, but it is the only store with all those things together in one package.
@DualBladesSkill@JaimeMonte7 where was this info? i thought it was just early sao from a new perspective, supposed to tie in with the story of the new game
@Ninja3ft129735@MemeSmuggler@yacineMTB they said 4k 60fps with fsr, and they didn't specify any games or any settings, it could 100% run minecraft, terraria and tons of less intensive indie games at 4k 60, and newer games at 4k upscaled with med/low graphics at 60
@altiorah@jingercookiee@HandBanana56098 ?? I literally said it's not like they slowed it down intentionally, they didn't. It was just the original feature, then they improved it to save time and make the games easier for casual players (children)
