Do you understand why Palestine is in the state it's in today? Outsiders arrived as immigrants, settled permanently, took control of the land, and gradually displaced and oppressed the indigenous population. Exactly what we are seeing right now in South Africa.
The pattern is the same. In Palestine, the First Aliyah from 1882โ1903 brought an estimated 25,000 to 30,000 Jewish immigrants who established agricultural villages with the backing of early Zionist movements. By 1948, over 700,000 Palestinians were forcibly displaced from their lands and homes in what they call the Nakba. Today, according to UN figures, between 730,000 and 737,000 Israeli settlers live in the occupied Palestinian territories, including roughly 500,000 in the West Bank and around 220,000 in East Jerusalem. The International Court of Justice and the UN Security Council have repeatedly said these settlements are illegal and violate Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention. The settler population has expanded dramatically between late 2023 and early 2025, more than 10,300 new housing units were under construction, and the government approved 41,709 settlement units, exceeding the total approved in the six years prior.
In South Africa, the same pattern is unfolding. Foreign nationals are arriving, settling, and establishing themselves in our communities taking over spaza shops, informal businesses, and even RDP housing meant for South Africans. Minister of Human Settlements Thembi Simelane confirmed that there is an "upheaval of complaints" about RDP houses occupied by foreign nationals. The Abahlali baseMjondolo movement has observed that some recipients of RDP houses sell the properties to migrants who would not qualify to get the houses from the state.
The parallel is undeniable. Just as settlers in Palestine arrived, took land, and displaced the indigenous population, foreigners are arriving in South Africa, taking our businesses, occupying our housing, and displacing our people. In Tsakane, there are only six South African-owned spaza shops compared to an estimated 85 Somali-owned spaza shops. In Delft, Cape Town, a major shift in market share has occurred, with ownership now favouring foreign businessmen who use a more sophisticated "entrepreneurial" model based on price competition and collective procurement. The same pattern exists in the water purification sector, where foreign nationals are moving in.
We are not xenophobic. We are awake. We see the pattern. We understand the history. And we will not allow South Africa to become another Palestine where the indigenous population is displaced, marginalised, and eventually erased from their own land. This is not hate. This is self-preservation. This is sovereignty. This is the fight of our lives.
South Africa, wake up. The same forces that displaced Palestinians are at work here. And we must stop it before it is too late. ๐ฟ๐ฆ๐ต๐ธโ๐พ
The R600m security-related costs to counter anti-migrant marches in #Southafrica hides the greater costs of brand damage to SA not just from Africa but from international investors who demand stability in order to invest. Job creation wonโt happen with this happening.

SANDF and SAPS Bust Foreign Nationals with Stolen Military Weapons in Pretoria
A joint operation by the SANDF Military Police and SAPS has led to the recovery of stolen military weapons and the arrest of three suspects in Mooiplaas, Pretoria. Acting on intelligence, authorities conducted two operations during June 2026. On 7 June, two foreign nationals were arrested and a multiple grenade launcher as well as an R4 assault rifle were recovered. The suspects appeared in the Atteridgeville Magistrateโs Court, where bail was denied.
A follow-up operation on 17 June resulted in the arrest of a third foreign national and the recovery of another multiple grenade launcher. The suspect is due to make his first court appearance. The Military Police have vowed to continue pursuing those responsible until all outstanding stolen military weapons have been recovered and all suspects brought to justice.
This breakthrough exposes the dangerous reality of stolen military arms circulating in criminal networks.

Nigerians do not love home. That is the honest truth. They talk about Nigeria with pride, but they will not live there. They will not fight for it. They will not build it. They love the flag, but they flee the soil. This is a big problem not just for Nigeria, but for everywhere they go. They bring their dysfunction, their entitlement, and their refusal to take responsibility. South Africa, the UK, the US, Canada, everywhere Nigerians go, they bring the same chaos they are running from. It is time to be honest. Nigerians need to love home enough to stay, to fight, and to build. Until then, they will remain a problem not just for themselves, but for the whole world. ๐ฟ๐ฆโ๐พ
