Buried in this excellent article is a startling statistic - PAs have been disproportionately deployed in socioeconomically deprived areas

We talk about tackling health inequalities but the very fabric of the healthcare system is driving inequalities if a less skilled workforce is more likely to see those living in deprivation.

This is how people with no power to speak up, are marginalised

The problem the UK has is an overworked GP workforce, a shortage of GPs, a GP contract that restricts hiring GPs, and a roll out of PAs (under qualified non-medics) in place of GPs
