Although there may not be additional snow falling, high winds in open rural areas can cause drifting & significant snow cover across roadways.

#PerthOPP have been responding to multiple collisions and vehicles stuck in snow drifts throughout yesterday and into this morning.

Highway 23 remains closed between Elginfield Rd and Palmerston, although there may not be road closure signs posted at main intersections.

Please limit all non-essential travel as it is possible to get stuck in a snow drift and emergency crews not be able to reach you for several hours.
