🚨🚨| NEW: Lionel Messi didn't even contact anyone at Barcelona before turning up to see the new Camp Nou, with Barcelona reportedly unaware he would be attended.

The Barcelona legend allegedly turned up at around midnight on Sunday as a spur-of-the-moment decision to see firsthand how the stadium now looks.

Messi's Instagram photos taken inside the stadium came as a surprise to the club, with Barcelona's brief to the media suggesting Leo went to the stadium and requested permission to access the Spotify Camp Nou from Limak security personnel, and that the company contacted FC Barcelona, who had no problem granting the request. The club added that Messi is always more than welcome.
