Biggest difference with the new strategy?
The entries are much easier to recognise.
I’m not trying to predict every move anymore — I’m waiting for price to come into my zone and show me the setup.
Less guessing. More clarity.

No trades today.
Gold had a massive run down, but my setup never came. Old me would’ve chased it. Today I stayed patient and sat it out.
No setup = no trade. Discipline over FOMO.
Changed my trading strategy.
The old one wasn’t working — my entry timing was poor and I couldn’t get to grips with it.
Switched to buy/sell zones with clearer confirmation.
Early days, but working much better so far.
One of those trading days…
The second you click BUY, price dumps.
The second you click SELL, price takes off.
Feels like the market is personally waiting for your entry before choosing the opposite direction 😂
Some days the best trade is accepting you’re out of sync.
Trading has a brutal way of humbling you.
A few good trades and you start thinking you’re finally getting somewhere… then the market chews you up and spits you out.
Confidence can disappear quicker than it arrived.

@tesseratrades@FillbookHQ Exactly. If the process is right, the results should take care of themselves over time. Keeping the ego out of it is probably one of the hardest parts of trading
Strategy > emotion.
A lesson I’m learning in trading is that a good setup means nothing if I don’t follow my own rules.
Wait for the structure.
Wait for the retracement.
Wait for confirmation.
Manage risk.
Don’t chase.
Broke my rules on entry - very lucky to get away with BE
@FillbookHQ Completely agree. The outcome can hide the mistake. Logging the rule-break before knowing how the trade ends keeps the focus on the decision, not whether you got away with it. That’s the habit I’m trying to build now.
Another solid gold trade.
XAUUSD 5m buy:
• Bullish BOS
• Entry after confirmation
• Price respected the FVG
• Strong continuation through target
• Clean momentum once structure shifted
Much happier with the patience on this one — waiting for confirmation.
Entering too early.
I’m often reading the setup correctly, but jumping in before price has properly confirmed the move.
Then I get stopped out… only to watch price go exactly where I originally expected.
That tells me the analysis isn’t always the problem — the entry is.
