Yesterday our Trustees met in person for our quarterly Board meeting, kindly hosted by @CharterhouseEC1. The meeting marked the occasion of the official handover to our new Chair @CaroleSouter, and the induction of our newest Trustee, Deepika Kanthavara Madhava. 👏
We are delighted @VincentKeaveny CBE will be joining as our Chair of Governors when Andrew Ritchie CBE steps down in November. Vincent brings a wealth of experience including in the @cityoflondon; we are looking forward to welcoming him to our community. https://t.co/q58Wkuij99
I am pleased to announce that @VincentKeaveny is to take over as Chair of @CharterhouseEC1 in November when @A_S_Ritchie completes his term. We thank Andrew for his hard work over the last 6 years and look forward to welcoming Vincent in the Autumn.
🌳 We were delighted to welcome @citylordmayor Michael Mainelli and the Lady Mayoress for the presentation of the first ripe fruit of the season from the Queen’s Mulberry in Preacher’s Court today. In a twist on the tradition, we hope they enjoy our Mulberry Gin as well! 🍇
Congratulations to @TracyBorman on her very well deserved OBE. We were fortunate to have Tracy deliver a fascinating Thomas Sutton Lecture here last year inspired by her book on Anne Boleyn and her daughter Elizabeth I, both of whom had connections to the Charterhouse.
On Wednesday 19 June there is a Choral Evensong with St Michael’s Chorale 🎶
Held in the serenity of our beautiful Jacobean Chapel from 5.30pm. 🕯️ Everyone is welcome, entry through the gatehouse.

#IHBCReading2024 continues with a brilliant presentation by @PeterAiers from Charterhouse unpacking the complexities of working with heritage groups and #governance of conservation projects. Some really interesting case studies including @ChurchCamping ⛺️💒🌙
Huge thanks to @AlmshouseAssoc & @PeterAiers for inviting me to be part of today’s workshop at the very grand Mercers’ Hall. Great to wear both my History & Heritage hats when discussing potential future directions for research on these important places & their communities
