I feel like some US veterans hate Ukraine because their ‘war stories’ are crazier than ours. What drives that home is that it seems to spike after a Ukrainian operation that gets a lot of positive press.

People who rarely discuss this conflict come out of the woods like a Ukrainian success comes at their personal expense.
