This angle gets me, where he’s just kind of standing there soaking it in, then sees his daughter and smiles, then instantly melts into tears … whew. Hell of a run, 35.
Album Review for Another Night at the Chateau by Premo Rice
Premo Rice is an artist that doesn’t even have to try hard to make great music. A lot of his music feels so effortless because it just flows so damn well. One thing that is very impressive about Premo is that even though he’s had the same style of music for years, he’s always find a way to make his sound be as refreshing as possible.
Premo calls upon some of his go to features in Aye Jae, Larry June and Jay Worthy but also he’s been able to use new features such as Akeem Ali and Foggieraw which add an extra layer of depth and show that he’s able to blend different voices on his tracks.
Premo is a very flexible heavy/luxury style artist who is all about keeping it P. His lyrics and his flow are one of a kind and that really makes him stand out because nobody can really rap the way that he does. His pocket really is impressive on tracks like “Shogun” and “Last Time in Vegas” because it shows his versatility. His production is very impressive because he has some funk jams mixed with Jazz and some classic Premo heavy bass beats as well. The cohesion on the project really brings together a solid sound altogether and overall this is one of his best projects to date. If you’re a fan of just rap that just allows you vibe in a flow state, this is the album for you.
