A man was asked to paint a boat.
He brought his paint and brushes and began painting it bright red, just as the owner requested.
While working, he noticed a small hole in the hull.
Nobody asked him to fix it.
Nobody was watching.
Nobody offered to pay him extra.
But he quietly repaired it anyway.
When the job was finished, he collected his payment and left.
The next day, the boat owner came to him with a generous check.
The painter was confused.
“You already paid me for painting the boat.”
The owner replied:
“This isn’t for the paint job.
This is for repairing the hole.”
The painter said:
“But it was such a small thing…”
The owner looked at him and said:
“You don’t understand.
When I asked you to paint the boat, I forgot to mention the hole.
After the paint dried, my children took the boat out fishing.
They didn’t know there was a hole.
And I wasn’t home to stop them.
When I returned and realized they had taken it, I panicked.
But then I saw them come back safely.
When I checked the boat, I found that you had repaired the hole.
You didn’t just fix a boat.
You saved my children’s lives.”
Sometimes the good you do may seem small to you.
But to someone else, it may mean everything.
So when you see a leak, repair it.
When you see someone struggling, help.
When you can do something kind without being asked, do it.
You may never know how many lives your small actions quietly saved. 🛶❤️
If you’re skinny, you’re on drugs.
If you’re fat, you need to lose weight.
If you smoke weed you’re a druggie.
If you drink, you’re an alcoholic.
If you get dressed up, you’re conceited.
If you dressed down, you’ve let yourself go.
If you speak your mind, you’re rude.(Guess that’s me 🤣)
If you don’t say anything, you’re snobbish.
If you are sociable, you’re a party animal.
If you stay to yourself, you’re detached.
People these days can’t do anything without being criticized. We live in a society where people can’t survive if they’re not judging the next person.
Get to know people before judging. Most are doing the best they can, in the same game called life. 😎
I know what I want at the end of this
5 acres, house built to last with systems that have little to no maintenance or cost.
Within a community of like-valued people.
Thats what I think all of us actually want.
None of us care for the materialistic or the status
Just to be sovereign
@United_Africana It requires more muscle fibers to be activated at one time to handle the load. Think like fishing line thickness by weight it can handle.
A truly intelligent species wouldn’t poison its own drinking water, strip away its topsoil, drive wildlife populations into decline, and create chronic illness through the very food system it depends on.
We are now in a weird era where a guy gets publicly shamed for running his sprinklers on a Tuesday, while a data center the size of a Costco quietly drains a reservoir so AI can generate a picture of your cat as a medieval knight. And the data center gets a tax incentive for it.
