@bbctheview@IrelandsFuture@MarkCarruthers7 Reconciliation is an inadequate language, which suggests a kind of pre-emptive apolitical resolution; when what is required is a form of democratic agonism that demands a distinctive 'culture of feeling' in conditions of uncertainty: https://t.co/8eUvw1OKul
@bbctheview@ClaireHanna@MarkCarruthers7 This is not a debate about reconciliation. Surely it is about cultivating a 'culture of feeling' or a tone of politics - typical of democratic agonism - that holds a respect for different aspirations in a creative tension with uncertainty and contingency https://t.co/8eUvw1OKul
@bbctheview@MarkCarruthers7@RobertBuckland @J_Donaldson_MP @BBCNewsNI@BBCnireland An emergent & shared 'culture of feeling' or 'tone' of politics in NI can support a peaceful and conversation about new constitutional structures but does not, like reconciliation, an apolitical avoidance of distinctive aspirations. https://t.co/8eUvw1OKul
