What have been your favourite horror films (old or new) that you have discovered so far this year?
Mine are:
As the Gods Will (2014, Japan) as close to live action anime as I have seen. Students forced to participate in bizarre death games.
The Sadness (2021, Taiwan) Like the horror comic Crossed. A virus makes people violent. A very bloody movie.
Weapons (2025, USA) This movie like Sinners is a bit like Marmite, people either loved or hated.
I really enjoyed it.
Any movies or series you could recommend.

@KI11ERKLOWNS Rec 3 was a lot of fun. A slow set up getting to know guests at a wedding. The zombies gatecrash. There is lots of humour sprinkled throughout. The special effects are very good and there are a few twists. A highlight is the chainsaw wielding bride.

Shanks (1974) - bizarre! A puppeteer brings the dead to life. Slow and mostly silent with a WTF ending.

@sadjazzwxtch Three segments I enjoyed. Fun size with a killer candy man in an abandoned warehouse style environment. Home Haunt where creepy decorations come alive. Kid Print is very dark and the content quite harrowing. In short, no one, old or young is safe in this film selection.

@fuforthought_ I found a hypnotist that helped me with my anxiety. I was totally against the idea but it worked. I know you love Kung fu movies and going through some of the short taichi vids on Youtube, may help. Nothing crazy just deep breathing and gentle movements. Stay strong.

MMA is gaining popularity in China. Not sure what I think about The People's Arena" (Bai Xing Lei Tai) where random people are mismatched. However, I did enjoy seeing crab fist for the first time.
