Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (S)denmark is not in favour of US President Donald Trump's call for Ukraine to cease the attacks on Russian diesel facilities.

"We have to hold on to the fact that it is Ukraine that is under attack from Russia. I have always said throughout this war that Ukraine should have the opportunity to hit back, otherwise Russia will continue both their war against Ukraine, but also potentially against other European countries. Therefore, one will have to give Ukraine the opportunity to reappear, she says Monday in connection with an Arctic EU summit in Finland.

The prime minister is instead linking the rising prices of both diesel and oil to the instability in the Middle East, which is largely due to Trump's war against Iran.

"It would be really good to find a solution to the situation in the Middle East, because that is what has helped drive prices upwards," she said.

I flew out of Kyiv on the night of 22 February 2022 with one of the last flights. The airport was completely empty except for one crowded gate from where the Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul was leaving late in the night.

There have been no civilian airline flights for almost 5 years in Ukraine.

For westerners to cry NOW about Ukraine possibly shutting down airspace for civilian flights in Western russia is peak hypocrisy and outright evil.
