@Hulk927 Remember Andy,
When you go in to the interview, the panel already think that you can do the role. All you have to do is prove them right...
I gave the same advice to a Ch Insp some years ago (who shall remain nameless), and he came away with a crown on his shoulder...

@Hulk927 Congratulations, Andy, well deserved. You have always been a conciencious officer and gave huge support with the old Sergeants Development Course.
Well done.

My first job upon arrival in the UK was a janitor. I’d say good morning & not receive a response. Today I’m an NHS psychiatrist & I said good morning to my colleague cleaning floors. The smile on his face was priceless. We each play an important role & must be respectful.
@evo2965 Spot on Dave, what a privilege.
What pressure though?, I did notice a bead of perspiration on one of the bearers. Hats off to everyone involved yesterday. 👏
Today we should have been taking part in a Prostate Cancer charity ride in and around Windsor. It was cancelled due to the death of HRH. As a thank you to my sponsors who donated £770 we decided to cover the distance, and a bit (74 miles) around the South Derbyshire area 👍🚲😁
#HappybirthdayNHS! Seems the perfect day to plead your allegiance to pulling back our thriving, world class service and out of the hands who are determined to crush it. 74 years of incredible service. Thank you for all you have done. Please retweet. We really need your help.
