The flag at school in Bradford is flying half-mast. The place was full of Hockney juvenalia when my brother and I were growing up. The theatre there bears his name. The 6th Form art class once got to visit him at his home in Los Angeles! An inspiration to many of us, whether artists or not. Rest in colour, David.
